Sulu Panglima Hassan Revolt. 1903-1905
The Hassan uprising was a rebellion among the Moro people of Jolo during the Philippine-American War. It was led by a Muslim datu named Datu Hassan the youngest son of the Great Raja Muda Ammang. He, along with 400 to 500 Tausug warriors, went uphill and fought the Americans. The uprising ended only when Hassan, after recovering from his 33 gunshots, saw that there is no hope to defeat the American army. |
